First United Nations Contract for RELYANT Maryville, TN – February 25, 2022– RELYANT Global, LLC. (RELYANT) has been awarded the contract for provision of EOD/IEDD and First Aid Train the Trainer (ToT) training to the National Police Force in Northeast Nigeria by the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS). This marks the first award designated to RELYANT by the UNMAS and further expands RELYANT’s customer base by providing training and support to the intergovernmental organization.
This project, slated to begin in March 2022, will leverage RELYANT’s 40+ years of combined, demonstrated experience of operating in austere, demanding, and complex environments across Africa. RELYANT has long provided assistance, equipment, training, and mentorship across the continent. By using their proven instructional models, they will create a sustainable team on the Nigerian National Police Force with skills and competency in EOD/IEDD and First Aid.
This contract includes designing and delivering Training Management Packages (TMP) to Nigerian personnel, designing and producing trainer manuals/didactive materials for training, mentoring Nigerian Police instructors, providing appropriate reports and payment schedules, completing required training, self-performing all administrative and logistical functions of the project, executing a risk management plan, as well as operating under all appropriate conditions and regulations set forth by the UN. This training program will be essential to the UNMAS’s objectives of protecting and saving civilian lives in Nigeria by ensuring that there is “increased ability to locate and respond to IED threats and incidents.”
