Matt joined RELYANT in 2018 with more than 20 years of industry experience. His expertise and leadership are focused on building a sustainable business operating model that delivers promises to our customers. As COO, Matt is responsible for the global operations of the company and oversees performance objectives for the regional business units, including profit and loss centers, project management, project health and safety, materials management and logistics, technical training, engineering, and project staffing.

Accomplished in business development, Matt has extensive experience leading global marketing and customer outreach in security services, intelligence support, humanitarian demining, munitions management, environmental remediation, and global logistics. Prior to his business development role, Matt held operations roles responsible for profit and loss centers that operated on six continents. Outside of government contracting, Matt also worked in operations at the Home Depot and BellSouth Corporation (AT&T).

Matt is a veteran and served as an Ordnance Officer (EOD) with the U.S. Army and as an Infantry Soldier with the Georgia Army National Guard. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Kennesaw State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from the University of North Georgia.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with family and friends, being a dad to two active boys, and hiking in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
