RELYANT performed 6 task orders at 6 sites with a combined value of $17.4M under this $150M MATOC. RELYANT’s project management included all labor, materials, tools equipment, logistics, transportation, temporary power generators, communications, expertise, supervision, and other items and services needed for execution for each task order. Manufacturing was originally performed in industrialized Turkey and materials transported to Bagram and Sharana, but due to increasingly dangerous border crossings and shipping routes, RELYANT recommended, and was approved, to re-source manufacturing to one of our vetted Afghan subcontractors proving to be a monumental task and incorporating the establishment of logistical paths and procurement of U.S. compliant building materials through host nation vendors. More challenging was formally training the host country national workforce to a journeyman level skillset in the construction trades allowing RELYANT to remain contractually compliant with International Building Code standards as prescribed by the contract vehicle.
