In support of the USACE Middle East, RELYANT completed the $1.3M design-build of an Entry Control Point 3 Multi Mode Passive Detection System (MMPDS) scanner facility at Bagram Air Force Base. The facility included a scanner facility, consisting of a reinforced concrete pit with the concrete approach and exit ramp, and a structural steel column and steel framing that supported the bottom and upper scanning machines. The main scanner deck was the timber decking with timber running with wheel guard. The main deck had metal access hatches, underground utilities including the electrical distribution system, communication system, and fiber optics. The scanner structure was covered by the Big Top Canopy Structures; the power supply with the backup generator was covered by the Automatic Transfer Switch and the Universal Power Station for the scanning machine; and site improvement works included gravel pavement and all accoutrements for a new and usable entry control PDS scanning facility.
